Kickstart Kid Event

Share

Last week, our A Level PE students successfully hosted the Kickstart Kids event for Year 9 pupils. The event was designed to encourage younger students to get involved in sports and physical activities that they may not normally have the opportunity to try.

The day offered a wide range of inclusive and engaging activities, with a strong focus on participation, enjoyment and trying something new. One of the standout activities was line dancing, which proved extremely popular with Year 9 pupils. We were delighted to welcome Limavady line dancing club, Texas Kickers, whose members delivered energetic and enjoyable sessions that had everyone involved.

The event was very well organised by our A Level PE students, who planned, led and managed activities throughout the day. Their enthusiasm and professionalism helped create a positive and supportive environment, ensuring the event was both enjoyable and memorable for all involved.

Overall, Kickstart Kids was a great success and highlighted the leadership, organisation and teamwork skills of our A Level PE students, while promoting physical activity and new sporting experiences for our Year 9 pupils.
