As we welcome back our pupils for the new school term, we take a look back at an incredible summer of sporting success. From representing regional sides to taking on international competition, our pupils have been showcasing their talent, dedication, and sportsmanship across a wide range of disciplines. Here are some highlights from over the summer months:
Rugby

Matthew earned a selection for the Ulster Clubs U18s side during their summer campaign. Matthew was selected to start against Leinster in Dublin and Connacht at the Affidea Stadium, as well as coming off the bench to play a full half against Munster in Cork.

Ethan represented the Ulster Under-16s Schools side during the recent summer Interprovincial series.

Eve represented the Ulster U16 team against the UK Lions, putting in a fantastic performance and scoring a goal.
Cricket
Our pupils were heavily involved in regional and national cricket representation this summer:

Jacob represented Ireland Under-15s across two major competitions. He finished as Ireland’s leading wicket-taker at both the U15 Barnard Festival in England and the Celtic Cup Series.

Amelia (Year 13) represented the North West U19 Girls team in the Interprovincial series.
North West U14 & U16 Representation:

Boys: Kyle (Year 11) represented both the North West U14 and U16 Boys teams. Year 10 pupils Matthew, Freddie, Ben, and Jack played in the U14 Festival, with Ben also stepping up to represent the U16s.

Girls: Year 11 pupils Catherine, Kate, Cara, and Maggie, alongside Sarah (Year 10), represented the North West U14 Girls.
Football

Lily (Year 10) enjoyed a triumphant tournament at the SuperCupNI, winning the SuperCupNI Vase with Crusaders FC.

Norrie (Year 11) represented the County Londonderry squad at the SuperCupNI. His classmate Liam (Year 11) was also selected for the squad but was unfortunately ruled out due to an injury—we wish Liam a speedy recovery!

Adam (Year 10) also competed in the SuperCupNI, representing Maiden City.
Swimming & Multi-Sport

Elodie represented Ireland on the international stage at the World Para Swimming European Championships in Turkey.

Caden represented the Northern Ireland Children’s Team at the British Transplant Games in Sheffield, bringing home an impressive medal haul: Gold in the High Jump, Silver in Golf, and Bronze in the Long Jump.
