Christmas Tree Competition

Share

Our annual Year 8 Christmas Tree Competition proved to be a wonderful and creative event, encouraging students to reflect on and express the personal meaning of Christmas through a unique artistic challenge. Students were tasked with designing and creating a Christmas tree that genuinely reflected what Christmas meant to them. The resulting entries were not only visually stunning but also offered a fascinating glimpse into the diverse beliefs and perspectives held within the year group. The diversity in the designs highlighted the range of Christmas beliefs and traditions present across the school community- from traditional religious representations and family-focused themes to unique interpretations centred on peace, giving, and winter cheer. Every single tree was a testament to the students’ creativity and thoughtful engagement with the brief. The challenging task of judging the exceptional entries was undertaken by Mrs. Madden. The final decisions were extremely difficult given the high standard of every creation. After careful consideration, the top three entries were selected, and prizes were proudly handed out to the deserving winners. Well done to everyone who took part!
