This season as captain of the intermediate netball team has been such a rewarding and memorable experience. From the very beginning the team showed commitment and determination both on and off the court.
The season started off with a strong performance against Our Lady of Lourdes, coming away with a 21-8 win. Followed by a 22-11 win over Dominican College Portstewart, it was a real highlight due to strong opposition and a fast paced game that demanded our full attention and co-ordination. To round off the season our final fixture was against Loreto College Coleraine who pushed us with their quick passes and successful interceptions, however, we kept our composure and played to our strengths ending in a 18-10 win. Throughout the season we remained undefeated resulting in becoming the Coleraine and District intermediate champions.
This victory means so much to us, not just as a team, but as representatives of our school. We are so proud to bring this league title home this season. This is a true indication of the hard work we put in as a team, but also the guidance and support from our coach Mrs Sandy. Her dedication to training, strategic insight, and belief have had a profound impact on our performance and personal development. I hope our success will impact younger players and it has been a true honour to lead such a talented and committed team throughout the 24/25 season.
