Over February half term, a large group of Year 10 travelled to Folgaria in Italy for a week of skiing and fun! On arrival, we got our ski equipment fitted, all geared up to start lessons the next day. We rolled out of bed for a 7am breakfast (fine cuisine) and got the bus to the slopes to meet our ski instructors. We really enjoyed learning how to ski and everyone progressed well. After our lessons, we went into town before dinner and were able to shop for souvenirs. There were plenty of activities to keep us occupied in the evenings, we went ice skating, swimming and had a pizza night.
Our top highlights of the trip were:
- Skiing down a red slope for the first time and having great craic with friends!
- Playing charades in the lounge and Mrs Sandy dancing with Angelo at lunch.
- Eating pizza in the restaurant and playing card games with my friends.
- Skiing with Mr Parke, he is a really good skier.
Overall, we had a great time, it was an amazing experience filled with memories we will never forget. Special thanks to all our teachers who made it possible and gave up their half term holiday to take us away.
