As the curtains draw on the 2024-2025 Coleraine and District Netball League season, it’s with immense pride and appreciation that we reflect on another year of fantastic effort, dedication, and growth from all our netballers.
The commitment shown by every single girl who took to the court this season, across all league sections, has been truly commendable. From our youngest Year 8 players, who enthusiastically participated in their introductory tournament, to our Minor, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior teams, the spirit and determination displayed were inspiring. Each team brought their best to every game, demonstrating skill development, teamwork, and an unwavering passion for the sport. Their hard work throughout the training sessions and matches truly shone through.
A huge congratulations is extended to all those deserving individuals who received personal accolades at the recent Sports Award ceremony. It was wonderful to see a number of our talented netball players recognised with ‘Most Improved Player’ awards, acknowledging their significant progress and commitment over the season. Alongside these, the prestigious ‘Player of the Year’ awards were presented, celebrating outstanding performance and leadership. Our diligent team captains were also rightly applauded for their guidance and dedication throughout the season. These individual honours are a testament to the hard work and talent within our Netball Club.
This season also marks a poignant moment as we bid farewell to our dedicated Six Form leavers. Their efforts, unwavering dedication, and profound commitment to LGS Netball Club over the past seven years have been nothing short of exceptional. They have been integral to the club’s success, growth, and vibrant spirit, serving as fantastic role models for our younger players. Their leadership, passion, and skill will be greatly missed, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for their immense contributions. We wish each of them every success in their future endeavours, both on and off the court.
The 2024-2025 season has been a memorable one, filled with highs, challenges, and continuous improvement. We look forward to seeing our netball programme continue to flourish in the years to come.
