The Under 14 team enjoyed their last year of junior hockey this season with a mixed bag of results and experiences. After battling out a 1-1 draw with Foyle in the first round of the U14 cup the girls got to experience the delicate balance of penalty runs for the first time and sadly couldn’t take advantage. This saw them enter the plate competition where they enjoyed wins over Royal and Prior and then Dromore before falling to Rainey in the quarter finals. In the Derry and Antrim League, the team finished fourth, their largest victory of the year being a 4-0 win over Cambridge House at home. Katie O’Hara chipped in with the most goals throughout the season and Eve Armour was promoted to the team and scored twice showing her ability and potential. The team made significant progress throughout the season with many players finishing the year with much more accomplished performances. The girls would like to thank Mrs Moore and Netty for their time and effort throughout the year and look forward to whatever senior hockey brings-and the tour in 2026.
