The girls played exceptionally well managing to succeed to the finals were they narrowly beat by Dominican who then claimed the title of 2023 tournament champions! The shooters of the team; Mya, Sarah and Lauren played very well shooting under pressure in all games. Attacking players Molly and Lucie worked well together feeding the ball to the shooters and holding off the opposition while our defensive players Chloe, Layla and Margaret tried very hard to keep the ball out of the oppositions net and area.
The girls had a very memorable day gaining a lot of experience and making some fun memories. They were a pleasure to take away for the day and represented LGS with great pride. Sarah, our GA, was an exceptional player during the day and was rewarded for her efforts when she was nominated by other schools for Player of the tournament – well done Sarah!
