With a tough year of exams, assessments and continuous AS/A level commitments we took great pleasure in looking forward to our weekly netball training sessions with Mrs Sandy.
Spirits were always high prior and post matches, win, lose or draw.
With it being a difficult year to get out of school we found other schools had the same commitments but we managed to agree fixtures and play a few games throughout the season. Within our Senior section we had Loreto, Dominican, North Coast and Ballymoney High. Our highlight of the season was our 23:23 draw against Loreto at Home. With very evenly matched sides it was goal for goal for the entire 4 x 10 min quarters. With outstanding shooting from Charlie and Tiegan at all times, and in each and every match, we really endeavored to overpower our opponents but it was not meant to be. This match did, however, not disappoint. Unfortunately we did not have success with our matches against BHS nor DCP as they were clearly the stronger sides and their wins were truly deserved. NCIC forfeited their game with us therefore gaining us the points.
I have truly enjoyed my 7 years at LGS netball club and have been honored to be Captain on several occasions. I will take away great memories and learning experiences and have made great friends which will last a lifetime.
