The Under 15 cricket team had a short season playing four matches. First up in the cup was Foyle College at home and the early season rustiness was evident as a number of chances went to ground as the visitors scored 140 in their allotted overs. In reply, the chase never got going and Foyle progressed. In the plate competition, we travelled to Bangor and having won the toss decided to bowl first. Once again, missed chances were costly and Bangor achieved a score that was ultimately too much despite the best efforts of Jack Howe and William McLaughlin.

Two home league games followed with an excellent victory against Carrick Grammar and an agonising defeat to Sullivan Upper.

Captain Louis Spratt deserves credit for his efforts and there were promising signs of progress throughout the season. There were creditable bowling performances from Sam Stenhouse, Oscar McMichael and Jack Howe. Thanks go to a number of Under 14 players who stepped up to help out. I would encourage all players to continue playing with a local club.
