The Year 13 Government & Politics students visited Stormont Parliament Buildings today as part of their AS Politics of Northern Ireland course.
The visit included –
- A presentation and workshop with the Stormont Education Service.
- A presentation and discussion with Dr Janice Thompson, Committee Clerk of the Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs Committee.
- Attendance in the public gallery at meetings of the Committee for the Economy and the Committee for Infrastructure.
- A questions and answer session with MLAs – Robbie Butler, Deputy leader of the UUP and Philip McGuigan, Sinn Fein.
- A tour of parliament buildings, including the Assembly Chamber.
It was a fantastic experience, and our pupils were consistently commended for their engagement and excellent input to discussions.
