Prize Day 2022 was an occasion to recognise talent and celebrate the impressive achievements of our pupils.
We were delighted to welcome back past pupil Una Clifford-Bahçecik as chief guest for Prize Day. Una, who is based in Luxembourg leads the European Investment Bank’s Strategy on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. It was an honour to listen to Una’s inspirational address and recognise the outstanding achievement of our pupils. Set against the backdrop of a national reduction in pass and higher grades when compared to 2021 and 2022 Limavady Grammar students exceeded all expectations and improved upon the standards set in previous years. At A level 93% of all grades awarded were A*-C grades and 50% of all grades awarded were A*and A grades. At GCSE level, results were exceptional. 99% of pupils achieved seven or more A*-C grades including English and Mathematics and over 62% of pupils achieved 5 or more A*- A grades. Mrs Madden provided an outline of the achievements of our students in both their academic work and extracurricular activities. She expressed her immense pride in the school and thanked the staff and Board of Governors for their continued support and hard work.
