This year the Roe Valley Learning Community (RVLC) schools worked together, in partnership with Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS), to launch an anti-vaping awareness programme for both students and parents. On Thursday 21 March the RVLC schools held information sessions to educate our school communities about vaping dangers and provide resources to help students understand the dangers of vaping and educate them to make positive choices surrounding harmful products. A parent session also took place in May to educate parents on the dangers of vaping and warning signs of addiction.
As part of this programme the RVLC raised funds to support NICHS in their work. An excellent total of £1250 was presented following the combined efforts of the schools. An excellent team effort from all involved.
