Two of our students Isla and Charlotte received A* in A Level Art and Design.

Isla’s blue toned artwork was based on portraiture and used watercolour paintings, cyanotype with textiles techniques to create her large final piece.  Her theme ‘Viewpoints’ led her to looking at the way women are viewed in society and how this has changed in the last 100 years.  Her friend kindly dressed in a 1940’s style – dress, jewellery and hairstyle to convey the look.

Charlotte’s grayscale artwork was based on the viewpoints of one’s mental state.  Her work conveyed the different emotions. Her friend posed showing different facial emotions.  Her work was created using colouring pencils, graphite pencils and pens.  Another very dramatic triptic.  Well done ladies.

Yr 12 students worked so well 21 students had a fabulous year. The 2 classes meant big numbers although this created a sense of excitement and showed off their fabulous work ethic.

Our students’ final saw their excellent drawing, painting, sewing and printing skills in a wide variety of colourful pieces.
