GCSE results signify remarkable commitment of students
Hot on the heels of Tuesday’s excellent A level results, it was the turn of Year 12 students at Limavady Grammar School to celebrate their success as they received their GCSE results. Despite the difficulties of the past two years, students have shown remarkable commitment achieving truly excellent and deserved results.
Pupils were delighted with their results, and Kyle admitted that he was thrilled and looking forward to a celebration. There were lots of high pitched screeches of excitement, with Grace and Zara leading the way, whilst although he tried to stay cool Peter couldn’t contain his excitement, when he opened his results!
Limavady Grammar School Principal, Nicola Madden commented “ This is a well deserved day of celebration for each of our students, who have each worked remarkably hard and have achieved these results against the backdrop of the most disrupted period of education in history.”
Principal Nicola Madden added “I am immensely proud of the resilience all of our students who each deserve their remarkable achievements and am looking forward to welcoming many of them back in a few weeks time alongside our new students in sixth form. I also want to wish our leavers all the best in their chosen areas of study or employment. Mrs Madden also paid tribute to parents saying, “Limavady Grammar is a team where we all play our part to support and challenge our students. Behind each set of results is an individual story, sometimes of very difficult times for our students. It is a privilege to be part of that story and assist our young people to reach their full potential”.
