BBC comedy stars Tim Mc Garry and Teresa Livingstone had them rolling in the aisles last Friday night when they appeared at the Roe Valley Arts Centre in support of Limavady Grammar Schools visit to Kenya in June. Aaron Hamilton, a teacher going on the visit, was able to use his comedy connections to secure the busy comedians and the night proved to be a fantastic success. Mr. Hamilton said, “Tim has just completed a busy tour schedule with GIVE MY HEAD PEACE and will return to hosting THE BLAME GAME on BBC Northern Ireland in a few weeks. I was absolutely delighted that he was able to make himself available for our fund raiser. The audience really enjoyed his topical humour”.

The first laughs of the evening came from Teresa Livingstone who is a former teacher. She certainly knew how to tickle the audience’s funny bones with her silly songs about life as a thirty something trying to make her way in the world. Teresa has appeared on BBC Northern Ireland’s LATE LICENCE and is presently developing a scripted comedy. Mr. Hamilton said, “those in the know believe that we will be seeing and hearing a lot more of Teresa in the coming years, so folk in Limavady got a real treat”.  

STAND UP FOR KENYA is the last in a series of fund raising ventures which the school has been supporting in advance of the trip to Kenya which will see children from Limavady Grammar School travel to Kenya in July 2019.
