Year 11-14 Digital Technology and SSD students attended a Cybersecurity workshop facilitated by Rapid7.

Participants had to solve a number of challenges, as a City Council came under attack from an unidentified hacker group, within a 1 hour deadline.

Challenges included identifying the affected machine, detecting what specific malware had been installed and determining who was responsible for the attack.

Students were also tasked with developing a comprehensive strategy to prevent further attacks.

We are grateful to Rapid7 for giving their time to provide our students with hands on experience in this essential and rapidly growing field of the Computing Industry.

The future is secure as all our students cracked the case well before the 1 hour deadline expired!
