Feedback from Sign Language club;

Sign Language was a lot easier and less intimidating than I thought it would be-I found it very enjoyable and loved learning this amazing language and culture.”

I loved Sign Language Club because it was a very positive experience and everyone was always so excited and ready to learn.”

Out of the 3 years I have been to this school, this year, the sign language and crochet club were the best!

After meeting a Deaf person in a shop and not being able to communicate with them, I was very excited when I realised Sign Language club was starting at school. I now feel confident in my ability to have a basic conversation in Sign and I am looking forward to using my new skills when I meet a Deaf person.”

Mrs Bradley shared stories about her personal experiences being part of the Deaf community with her husband Paddy and also supporting a student who is Deaf at our school. Through this, we learnt a lot about Deaf Awareness, Deaf Culture and I am proud to say I now have a ‘Sign Name’! If you don’t know what a ‘Sign Name’ means, you will have to come join our club next September and you can have one too!”
