Prize Day 2023 was an occasion to celebrate talent and recognise the impressive achievements of our pupils. We were delighted to welcome back past pupil Jack Wilson as chief guest for Prize Day.  Jack is Assistant Director of Music at St Anne’s Cathedral Belfast.

It was an honour to join with our guests and recognise the outstanding achievements of our pupils. Set against the backdrop of a national reduction in pass and higher grades when compared to 2022, Limavady Grammar students excelled in their academic grades. At A level the overall pass rate was 100% with 91% of all grades awarded at A*-C grades. At GCSE level, results were outstanding. 95% of pupils achieved seven or more A*- C grades including English and Mathematics and over 52% of pupils achieved 5 or more A*- A grades. Mrs Madden provided an outline of the achievements of our students in both their academic work and extracurricular activities. She expressed her immense pride in the school and thanked the staff and Board of Governors for their continued support and hard work.

This has been a very successful year for the School as it was recognised by the Sunday Times as one of the top schools in the province and is firmly placed in the top 20 in the UK Parent Power Guide.  Achievements both in and out of the classroom were celebrated when the School was awarded Best School in Northern Ireland at the Families First Education Awards in May.
