The u14 team enjoyed a season of cricket with matches against Lisneal, Foyle College and Coleraine Grammar. The first match of the season was against Lisneal, Kate W took a Hattrick of wickets, with Bella and Catherine taking two wickets. Lisneal set a high score to chase, but we were unsuccessful even with Amelia top scoring with the bat. The penultimate match of the season was against Foyle, with Catherine taking a wicket and Amelia taking a run out on the field. The chase was unsuccessful, even with year 8s Kate M making the high score of 21 alongside Cara with some runs as well. The final match of the season was against Coleraine Grammar. The teams fielding was superb, with Cara L and Kate W taking 2 wickets, Kate M, Catherine K and Eve A taking a wicket each, and Maggie B taking a wicket and a run out. The team went into bat with a chasable score to reach. Amelia top scored with the bat, alongside Mina V and Kate W with some runs, and reached the score in 14 overs. The team would like to thank Miss Lewers and Mr Hughes for training us, and with a young side we are excited for the next few seasons.
